The Pirate Escapade is a three shot animation in which I wanted to tell a short funny story about a pirate stealing a treasure from another pirate. My aim was from the start to focus on weight and I chose to do so through rope climbing and heavy object lifting. In addition I wanted to try out a sneak walk, but didn't want to redo the classic one as it has been shown too often.

Here are the sketches (again as animated GIF), along with an old blocking version of the first shot. BTW, since I don't do rope climbing, I used a reference video from youtube...
